Podcast Episode 11: Parenting in Hindsight with Kristy & Kerri Ann

As Kindred Roots teammates and parents to adult children, Kristy Thackeray and Kerri Ann Colby reflect on parenting now that most of the journey is behind them.

They say hindsight is 20/20 and now that Kristy and Kerri Ann have launched their children into the world of adulthood, they have a reflective conversation on what they think they did right, and wrong when raising their children, and what advice they’d give to people in earlier stages of parenting.

Parenting is hard, right? As you heard in the episode, it’s the only job you can have for 20 years and have no performance review and won’t know if you’ve done a good job until it’s over. But you don’t have to do it alone and professional help is available.

A number of Kindred Roots therapists, including Kristy, are here to support you on your parenting journey. Jessica Donovan, is a Kindred Roots therapist specializing in children, youth, and parenting. She offers individual sessions for kids aged 6+, couples sessions with a parenting focus, and family therapy.

All of Kindred Roots’ relatable, professional therapists are available for in-person sessions in Okotoks, Alberta or Vancouver, British Columbia. Virtual sessions are also available for residents of Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.
